Dubai-based PTA Global Holding — a joint venture between Montage Commodities FZCO and AsiaPak Investments — successfully completed the acquisition of Lotte Chemical Pakistan Limited, marking a new era of growth and expansion.
Company name officially changed to Lotte Chemical Pakistan Ltd, aligning with the global brand strategy and strengthening our international presence.
The Co-Generation Plant was commissioned to enhance energy efficiency and sustainability. Concurrently, KP Chemical's identity changed globally to Lotte Chemical, unifying the brand worldwide.
KP Chemical (Subsidiary of LOTTE) acquired PPTA. The company name was changed to Lotte Pakistan PTA Ltd (LPPTA), integrating into one of Asia's leading conglomerates.
AkzoNobel acquired ICI globally. Consequently, Pakistan PTA Ltd (PPTA) became part of the AkzoNobel group, gaining access to global expertise and resources.
The PTA business was demerged from ICI Pakistan Ltd and established as a separate entity: Pakistan PTA Ltd (PPTA), allowing focused growth and specialization.
The PTA Plant was successfully commissioned, marking the start of commercial operations and our entry into the Pakistani chemical industry.
